The shining city

The name of Belluno, (nicknamed the “Shining City”) has its roots in Celtic times, in reference to the god of the sun, Beleno, thanks to its shimmering surroundings and beautiful colours.

White snow, green meadows, pink Dolomite mountains, blue skies and rivers, yellow, red and orange autumn foliage.

This vibrant array of colours looks almost as though they have been Instagrammed and you have to remind yourself that what you are seeing is in fact real life.

Belluno is awash with light and constantly changing colours, different with every blink of an eyelid. Amazing, unforgettable, adorable.
